leaving the farm

So, I'm setting out on Journey. Heading to China for my first real-world job, teaching English to Chinese students! How Awesome is that?!

I'll be going to the city of Taiyuan in the Shanxi province, and will teach elementary students at the Shanxi Modern Bilingual School. I fly out Aug 8 and will return sometime next June.

Its hard to describe all the feelings and emotions I've experienced during preparation for this life change. It ranges from extreme excitement, (this is going to be the experience of a lifetime!) to a little apprehension, (What in the world am I getting into? I don't speak Chinese, I'm a farm girl from Nebraska. Can I really move to a city in China and teach English?)

But deep down I know this is what I've been called to do for this time in life by my Heavenly Father. And He will lead me and equip me if I am daring enough to follow his call.

Step one, packing my bags and leaving the farm.
